Skoda has launched the Superb facelift in India. There are two trims on offer with the refreshed Superb – Sportline at INR 29.99 lakh and Laurin & Klement (L&K) at INR 32.99 lakh.
The Skoda Superb has received various changes with the 2020 update, these include new front bumper enlarged radiator grille with double slats, narrower, Matrix LED/LED headlights, redesigned, LED fog lights, tweaked rear lights, redesigned rear bumper garnish on the tailgate, a decor strip that connects the rear lights and ‘SKODA’ in block lettering.
The 2020 Superb Sportline variant adds unique 17-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out exterior elements, black Alcantara leather upholstery and a rear lip spoiler. The Superb Sportline is available in just three colour options – Race Blue, Moon White and Steel Grey.
The Superb L&K variant comes with five colour options – Lava Blue, Moon White, Business Grey, Magic Black and Magnetic Brown – and new dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.
The interior design of the Skoda Superb has remained largely unchanged, the updated Superb gets Skoda’s digital instrument cluster along with the addition of wireless phone charging and an updated 8.0-inch infotainment system. Equipment carried over includes powered and ventilated front seats, an 11-speaker Canton audio system, three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, hands-free parking, a panoramic sunroof and more – depending on the variant selected. The standard Superb comes with dual-tone black-and-beige upholstery with the Sportline featuring an all-black cabin to go with its sportier looks.
Powering the new Superb is a new petrol engine. It’s a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission unit that develops a maximum power of 190 PS at 4,200-6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 320 Nm at 1,450-4,200 rpm.
